Sorry I got a little behind on the blog. We have had some busy weekends for the last couple of weeks. We travelled to Pennsylvania for a family reunion and surprise birthday party. It was great seeing all the family! Here are some pictures from our travels the last couple of weekends.

We visited Duplin County Winery. While Mommy and Daddy did a wine tasting, Anthony enjoyed some juice and a bowl full of cheese nips.

Father's Day Weekend

We took a took a trip to the DC/VA area on Saturday of Father's Day weekend to visit with my family for half the day. We went to a Waterpark then went to Potomac Mills outlet mall. We had a great time visiting, but definitely wasn't long enough. Here some pictures:

Due to the recall of Anthony's Simplicity crib, we were forced to upgrade a little early to a toddler bed. We decided to get him the Toy Story toddler bed with matching sheets, since this has been his favorite movie recently. We'll let you know how the first night goes with it. He did go to sleep as you will see below. Hopefully he'll sleep and stay in it!

Strawberry Picking

Friday night we took a trip to Willow Springs, NC to pick strawberries at Porter Farms. It was a very nice family outing for us. Anthony didn't have much interest in picking, but he loved holding the bucket and putting the strawberries in it after Daddy and I picked them.

Weekend trip to PA

Saturday, Matt and I went to the Penn State Blue and White game, then there was a surprise party for Matt's Mother, Cathy. On Sunday, our nephew, Jackson, was baptized. Happy Easter everyone! We had a great family day. Saturday night we colored easter eggs. On Easter Sunday, we went to 10:30am Mass then had lunch at McCormick & Schmicks. We all came home and took afternoon naps, then had an easter egg hunt in the backyard. Anthony loved gathering the eggs, but didn't care for the money inside. He will one day! We hope you all had a great weekend.

Today, our Anthony turns 2 years old. I can't believe he's been with us for 2 years already. Anthony is the greatest blessing we could ever have asked for and we love him so much! This weekend, my father-in-law, Fred, came down to help us do some work around the house. The major project was putting laminate flooring throughout the downstairs. It turned out great. He did an awesome job!!

We spent our first Christmas in Raleigh this year. It was really nice starting our own traditions. We went to mass on Christmas and it was so crowded. Of course we had to stand, so Matt and I took turns holding Anthony because there were just too many people.

Matt and I took Anthony to see Chrismtas lights at Lights on the Neuse in Clayton. It's a 30 minute tractor ride through this huge farm and woods with music. It was great except it was very cold the night we decided to go. We had to wait in line and Anthony wasn't happy about that, but he stopped fussing as soon as we got on the tractor!

Matt and I took Anthony trick or treating to Cary Town Center Mall. It was very crowded and many places ran out of candy. Anthony did well at first, but since it was 78 degrees here today, his monkey costume was a little too warm for him and he didn't wear it very long. You can see how happy he was after the costume was removed. We will remember next year to pick him out something much cooler. Here are some pictures from our Halloween this year.

18 month appointment

Anthony had his 18 month appointment today. Everything went well, except for the shots. He got his flu shot along with his Hepatitis A and DTap. His pediatrician was very impressed with his development so far. Here are his latest stats:
Weight: 26 lbs 2.2oz (50th percentile)
Height: 31 1/4 inches (10-25th percentile)
Head Cir: 50.8 cm (97th percentile)

Matt, Anthony, and I went to the NC State vs Pitt game this past Saturday. It was a gloomy, rainy day, but at least our tickets were for in the Coca-Cola suite. We had a really good time and so did Anthony. When everyone cheered, he yelled, "Yah" and clapped his hands. NC State did win and I wish I could say the same for Penn State.

Another Haircut

I took Anthony for another haircut, but this time it didn't go so well. We went back to JJ's Kidscuts that has the fun kids chairs and tv's. Anthony would not sit in the firetruck seat and cried. I had had to hold him while the girl cut his hair. Here are a couple pictures I took after we got home. Sorry they are a little blurry. They were taken on my phone.

18 months old

Anthony turned 18 months this past Saturday. I can't believe where the time has gone. In 6 months, he'll be 2 and we will be talking about potty training...yikes. He has learned so much already. Anthony says kitty, mama, dada, ba (bottle), ball, shoe, book, hi, bye, etc. I'm sure Anthony can say more, but I need to figure out what he's saying. In a way, you can say he's teaching me to figure out what he wants. If you ask him where his nose and ears are, he'll show you. He picks up the phone and says "hello?". When he's hungry, he says "eat" then he runs to his high chair and tugs on the tray. The temper tantrums are in full swing too. I'm guessing they only guess worse? We did find out that Anthony likes to bite every now and then. Hopefully we can get him to stop that right away.
Anthony's 18 month appointment is on October 7th, so I will let you know the stats then. I've been trying to get him some clothes for the fall and winter, but I didn't realize how hard it is to shop for pants. He's definitely on the short size and right now, his 12-18 month shorts are really loose on him and the 18 month shorts fall off. For now, I got him 12-18 month pants because I don't want him to trip on the long legs since he's running all over the place. Too bad he can't wear shorts all year round, then I wouldn't have to worry about it.
Sorry it's been so long since I updated. I will have some new pictures to post this weekend. We have a lot going on between now and the holidays, so hopefully I can update more often. Matt, Anthony, and I are going to the NC State vs Pittsburgh football game this Saturday, so I can't wait to see how Anthony does. Hopefully good!

15 month appointment

Anthony had his 15 month appointment today. Everything went great until he got 2 shots in his left leg. Poor little guy cried.

-Height 30 1/2 inches (he grew 1 1/2 inches since April)

Matt and I took Anthony for his 1st haircut today at JJ's Kids Cuts in Raleigh. He was so good and never cried. They told us the first few times are the easiest, but when they get older and know what's going on, then it gets more difficult. He still looks like our little baby Anthony!

4th of July

We had a quiet 4th of July at home this year. We invited a few people over and had a cook out. Sunday we went to the Smithfield Outlets shopping. They have a ton of shops for Anthony...Carter's, Gymboree, Stride Rite, Heartstrings, and others. We will definitely be going back more often.

Anthony finally got to play with his cousin Sophia for the first time since Christmas! Well, they didn't really play since they were so little then, but this time they did get to play. I know it's been a while since I posted anything, so now I will try to more than make up for that. Daddy and Anthony took a trip to Asheboro, NC, to the zoo back on April 4, 2009, while I was in PA for Anthony's Aunt Jessica's bridal shower. They had a great time seeing all the animals. The zoo was so big that they didn't get to see everything. We will have to go back again soon.

Happy Easter Everyone! The Easter bunny came last night a left lots of goodies for all of us. Our morning started early and now we are going to relax the rest of the day. We all went to mass at 7:30am, then went out to breakfast at The Flying Biscuit. When we got home, Anthony went through his baskets to see what the Easter Bunny brought him.

Our baby, Anthony, is going to be 1 year old this week on March 19th. It's hard to believe it's been a year already. We had a wonderful weekend. It was in the 80s both Saturday and Sunday! Tomorrow is supposed to be the same, but back to work, so we won't get to enjoy it.
Anthony is crawling way too fast for me. He flies across the floor so fast! The other night I was getting his bottle ready in the kitchen. Anthony was crawling around on the floor and then next thing I know, he was over at the dogs' dishes and he stuck a piece of dog food in his mouth! I was able to get it out of his mouth fast thank goodness.

Yucky weekend

Rain, rain, and next is snow. All it has done for the last 2 days is rain and now they are calling for 2-6 inches of snow tonight. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day if all this actually happens.
Matt and I had our third wedding anniversary on Feb. 25th. My friend, Barbara, from work, babysat for us Saturday night, so we could go out for a little while. We decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory, but there was an hour a half wait! A new brewpub opened in downtown Raleigh on Friday, so we ended up going there. The food was ok and we experimented some different beers.
Today was pajama day. We didn't go anywhere and stayed in our pj's all day because of the rainy day. Anthony has a little cold right now, which is why we didn't want to leave. His nose was congested the last couple of days, then today it moved into his chest. Poor little guy. With the baby vapor rub and vaporizer, hopefully he'll be a little better in the morning, or else I may have to call the pediatrician. I don't want him to get pneumonia or anything. The temperatures have been fluctuating a lot, so no wonder everyone is sick.
Now we are waiting to see if we get snow again or not. I hope so :)

We had a pretty nice weekend...mostly relaxing and playing with Anthony. Tonight we discovered that Anthony is getting his 3rd tooth. He's getting one of his front teeth on the top left. Explains some of this crankiness the last couple of days. Here's a video of his new thing....waving hi and bye. It's so cute. You'll also notice something else he does once in a while, but it's nothing to brag about...picking his nose. haha!

11 months old

Yes, you read that right. Anthony is 11 months old today. Can you believe it? I really can't. February's a short month, so his 1st birthday is going be here in a few weeks. Here's Anthony's 11 month pictures that I took today. I can't say baby too much much longer because he barely looks like a baby anymore...a little boy! It's getting harder to take his pictures because as you can see from the last one, he gets bored and crawls away!
Anthony loves for us to hold his hands so he can walk around the house. He likes to stand by himself at the ottoman and walk while holding himself up. I'm sure he'll be walking very soon. He better be by May for Jessica and Jerry's wedding.

We had an early look at Spring this weekend and it looks like it's going to last for most of this week too. It was about 71 degrees yesterday and today is was 75 degrees! We all went for a couple of long weeks this weekend, so we could enjoy the weather. Other than that, this was a very uneventful weekend. Did a little grocery shopping and got our taxes done...that's about it. Matt shot some videos of Anthony...he said he'll post those later. Here's a cute picture of Anthony with Maggie today.

It's finally been caught on video, but Anthony is crawling. He goes right for the things he shouldn't and makes a mess. I could not wait for this day, but now I will worry more and more because I have to keep my eye on him every second. He looks more like a little boy now than my baby :(

1st major snow storm

Sorry, I got a little behind on post pictures and updating you all on everything. We have been in Raleigh for over 5 years now and this is the most snow that we have seen here.....6 inches! I know you all are probably laughing, but it's a big deal here. Schools were closed for 2 days....Coca-Cola even closed for one day! Too bad I was out of town at training classes and still had to work. Oh well, I'll make that day up soon :) Here are some pictures of the snow. Matt didn't take Anthony out because he doesn't have a snow suit, but Maggie and Annabelle sure did enjoy it! By the time Matt got home from work, some of the snow melted. Still looks pretty!

10 months old

Anthony will be 10 months old tomorrow. Poor little guy has been sick for almost a week now. He's on antibiotics for the ear infection, but he's also congested in his chest with a cough. I can tell the ear infection is gone because he's sleeping all night again.
I had to post this a day early because I am going out of town for a few days for work. Last night we had a short visit with Gammie and Pappy DeAngelo, Great Grandma Greslick, and Aunt Suzie. We went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. Anthony was so good the whole time and enjoyed some garden veggies with whole wheat pasta and some cherry puffs. They all left this morning and are heading for Disney World.

The weekend....

This wasn't a very eventful weekend. We just hung around the house, got a lot of cleaning done, and finally took the outside christmas lights down. Today we finally went for a little bit for lunch and to the grocery store. Sounds exciting huh? haha!
Anthony's just growing so fast and I can't believe in a little over 2 months he's going to be 1 already. He loves to stand now. He cries if you try to set him down on the floor instead of letting him hold himself up. I guess it's time to baby proof the house! Here are a few pictures and two videos from this weekend. Gammie, Pappy, Great Grammy, and Aunt Susie will be stopping by next Saturday for a visit. We can't wait to see you!

Anthony's 9 month appointment

Anthony had his 9 month doctor's appointment today. He now weighs 21 lbs 1.5 oz and is 27 1/2 inches long. His weight is in the 50th percentile and his height is in the 25th percentile. But Anthony's head circumference is 47cm and that's in the 97th percentile. haha! At least my short baby boy has brains :) The only shot this time was the 2nd dose of his flu shot and he didn't even flinch or cry. He was so good for Daddy at his appointment. I couldn't go because I had work.

What an awful game for Penn State. I am glad it didn't end up being a total blow out (PSU 24 USC 38). Sara, JP, and Ari came over to watch the game with us. We still had a good time, but I think we were all still a little tired from being up too late lastnight for New Year's Eve.

9 months old today

Anthony is 9 months old today. Only 3 more months and our little baby is going to be a year old already. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. He's not quite crawling yet, but he's very close. If you put toys out for him, he rolls to them or he reaches as far as he can and cries if he can't get to them. At least he knows how to get them! Anthony's first tooth has been starting to come in over the last week and he's been cranky off and on. So get ready family, you will see a different side of that quiet little boy.

Anthony's talking is so cute. He's been babbling, but now he's making a lot more sounds. For a while he was only making cooing noises, then to D, P and T sounds, now he's making M and B sounds. He's been saying DaDa and lastnight we heard him say MaMa. So cute! He's just saying DaDa and MaMa, but not referring the names to us yet, which we know won't happen for a while. It's just cute hearing him say these first words. I don't know if these count as Anthony's first words or not, but it's close enough in my book :-)

We all traveled to Pennsylvania to spend Thanksgiving with our families. Anthony got to spend his first Thanksgiving with his grandparents and many others. 1st Snow

I thought the first snow that Anthony would see is in Pennsylvania, but it actually happened this morning here in Raleigh. I came downstairs around 6:15 this morning to let the dogs out and the snow was really coming down. Anthony and I had Daddy take a picture of us in the snow before we left for daycare/work. He could not stop looking at it. We never get snow this early...mostly in January and February. I think this a sign that we may actually get an accumulation of snow this year. We will see!

We had a pretty uneventful weekend. Anthony and I went to Cary on Saturday and visited with Doris, Matt and I's neighbor who lived in our apartment building when we first moved to North Carolina. She hadn't seen Anthony since he was about 2 months, so she was really excited to see him. Saturday night we watched Penn State kick Wisconsin's butts. That was great!
Sorry I didn't take any pictures of Anthony this weekend. We gave him a break from the camera. I think this was the first weekend I didn't take any pictures. I will have some this weekend because Anthony's going to be 7 months old on Sunday.

Matt and I went to the NC State vs Boston College football game on Saturday. It was a pretty good game even though NC State lost. We were in the Coke Suite again, so we were able to watch the Penn State game on tv! My friend, Shea, babysat for us. She said he was so good and easy to take care of. I am so glad Anthony is such a good baby!

Our little Anthony is 6 months old already and I can't believe it! He is getting so big and people don't lie when they say time flies by.....it really does. We splurged and took him to the Picture People lastnight for his 6 months pictures. They turned out so nice and I am surprised my scanner did a good job scanning these.
Anthony also had his 6 month appointment today. He weighs 18 lbs 4.5 oz and is now 26 inches long. He's finally getting longer! We hope you all like the pictures!

Outer Banks Trip

Anthony and I went to the Outer Banks from Friday morning til Saturday afternoon. My Aunt Loretta and Uncle Joe rented a beach house their all week, so we went to visit. Anthony was so good! We made the 3 hour trip to the beach without stopping. He did not cry at all and was so happy the entire time. On the way home, he started crying about 30 minutes from Raleigh, so I pulled over to check on him. I think he just needed a hug! We were back on the road in about 5 minutes and made it back to the house just in time for him to eat. Now it's time to relax!
